ZHU Takes Us To Church On Fourth Studio Album ‘Grace’

In May of 2023, ZHU returned to his native San Francisco to work on his fourth studio album, Grace. 10 months later and that album is now ours. Mainly recorded at Grace Cathedral in San Francisco, the album gave ZHU a chance to go back and find inspiration in his hometown while simultaneously telling the story of where he’s going next. Standing at 21 tracks long, ZHU’s talent shines front to back.

ZHU arranges this album like pieces of a puzzle, seamlessly mixing genres and moods not only within the album as a whole but within each individual track. After a decade of making music, this project shows his prowess as a songwriter and dynamic ability as a producer are as high as ever.

There’s a blend of rock, trap, dance, and an overall gospel theme with the consistent use of massive organs and peaceful choir sections. There’s even the use of a church bell, which all but reiterates that over ZHU’s illustrious career we are still witnesses.
