Idris Elba Launches IDRIS Alias With New Single “La Trumpeta”

Idris Elba is a superstar. From ‘The Wire’ to his appearances in major Marvel films he’s one of the most recognizable celebrities there is. Throw on top of that that he’s also an incredible DJ and producer? It almost seems unfair. And today he doesn’t plan on stopping as he launches his new alias IDRIS with a spicy house tune “La Trumpeta” via the iconic Defected Records.

Idris Elba has been DJing for well over a decade, and to no surprise he’s damn good at it. From playing the Yuma Tent at Coachella to Higher Ground’s Miami Music Week party last year he’s been all over the world. He first released a record with Defected in 2020 with “No More Looking Back” and now four years later releases “La Trumpeta”. It’s a latin house track featuring electrifying drums and, you guessed it, a sick trumpet sample. The track is awesome, just like him.
