Douvelle19 Showcases His Creative Range on Dynamic ‘When I Dream’ EP

It has been a steady climb up to this point in Douvelle19‘s career, as he’s progressed year after year, with tracks consistently even more impressive than the last. His new EP, When I Dream, is no exception to this trend, showcasing the producer’s breadth of expertise and sheer creative range.

Douvelle19 has such a unique production style, centered greatly around his drum processing and plucky synths. Keeping those two things constant, the producer plays with a variety of different styles and progressions throughout the EP. He even recruits vocalists, Catching Cairo and Kaisha, on tracks one and three, to add additional dynamic variety to the project as a whole.

The producer commented on his mindset while creating the EP, sharing:

Amalgamating your flavours is key. It’s like cooking, but with sounds. There’s always a route in – no matter where you come from. This EP has been born from the places I’ve found myself in during the last three years, it’s about harnessing the state of dreaming without sleep walking. Each track is a moment I’ve lived, an emotion I’ve felt and is threaded together by the people in my life.
