Erick The Architect Recruits George Clinton on Funkadelic Single “Ezekiel’s Wheel”

If you were in high school in the 2010’s, there’s a good chance you rode around with your homies listening to Flatbush Zombies. Well, Erick Arc Elliot, aka Erick The Architect, is the one who brought the group of high school friends together around 2010, and the rest is history. Now, Erick finds himself on the verge of releasing his debut solo album, I’ve Never Been Here Before, and has just delivered the album’s latest single “Ezekiel’s Wheel.”

“Ezekiel’s Wheel” is every bit hip-hop, funk, soul, and reggae we adore, and further showcases Erick’s authenticity as an artist. Rock and Roll hall-of-famer and Parliament Funkadelic head, George Clinton, is recruited to compliment the psychedelic record. Erick’s mother was a big Parliament and George Clinton fan, and Erick grew up listening to his music in their house, making this collaboration a perfect fit.

On the track, Erick adds:

‘Ezekiel’s Wheel’ speaks on my initial discovery of being both a fan of music and the desire to become a musician. I had an eclectic taste as a kid for soul, funk and reggae music more than I ever wanted to be an MC. I had the song on ice for a bit before George and I even met at a photoshoot, but I always had him in mind. It’s an extreme honor to work alongside him. He has an incredible legacy and is easily one of my favorite artists of all time.
