Ángela Aguilar, Marc Anthony & More Added to Perform at 2022 Latin Grammys
There was no shortage of star power when the Latin Recording Academy announced the next round of performers set to take the stage for the 2022 Latin Grammys. Ángela Aguilar, Marc Anthony, Banda Los Recoditos, Carin León, Nicky Jam, and Sin Bandera were announced as the next crop of performers added to an already starry lineup.
All the performers announced today are nominees across several different categories. Ángela Aguilar is nominated for Best Ranchero/Mariachi Album for her album “Mexicana Enamorada.” Marc Anthony boasts an impressive four nominations, including Record of The Year and Album of the Year. Previous winner Banda Los Recoditos is up for Best Banda Album for “Me Siento A Todo Dar.”
Carin León earned his first nomination this year for Best Regional Song. Nicky Jam’s nominations include Best Urban Song and Best Reggaeton Performance. Rounding out the list is two-time Latin Grammy winner and Grammy nominee Sin Bandera, who is up for Best Traditional Pop Vocal Album and Best Short Form Music Video.
Previously announced artists include Rauw Alejandro, Sebastián Yatra, Jesse & Joy, and Chiquis. Rauw Alejandro garnered a whopping eight nominations, including Best New Artist, Record of the Year, and Song of the Year. It’s a tight race as Colombian hitmaker Sebastián Yatra shares nominations in some of the same categories as Rauw. Chiquis’s album Abeja Reina is nominated for Best Banda album, and Mexican duo Jesse & Joy’s Clichés album is nominated for Best Pop Vocal Album. Marco Antonio Solís, who will also take the Latin Grammy stage, will be honored as the Latin Recording Academy’s Person of the Year.
