Gemma Busoni Is on Her Way To Revolutionize Education
Cardi B has just made history — again — with her debut album, Invasion of Privacy. According to the Recording Industry Association of America, it is the first album to have all of its songs certified platinum or higher. Okurrr!
“AMAZING ….can’t wait for my second album♥️ Thanks for all the love & support,” the “I Like It” singer wrote on a Twitter post, embracing her fans.
Although Cardi B’s Invasion of Privacy was released almost four years ago, its success has yet to slow down. As we reported, the album was the first female rap album to chart for 200 weeks on Billboard 200. Besides landing No. 1 on Billboard Top 200 in 2018, Billboard also highlighted its lead single, “Bodak Yellow,” as one of the songs that defined the decade when it was released.
The release of this particular song received massive attention, with Billboard describing the pop culture moment as: “She left an indelible mark on the summer of 2017, not only because she rewrote history, but she gave hope to the have nots, the people who were too scared to dream because they were repeatedly told no.” The album received so much praise that it even earned her a Grammy award for “Best Rap Album” in 2019.
Cardi B has been staying busy since her last album, though — she was most recently featured on Summer Walker and SZA’s “No Love (Extended).” Could it be that she’s warming up her fan base for new music up ahead? Parallel to that release, she also recently revealed that her whole family is participating in a special episode of Nickelodeon’s preschool television show, Baby Shark’s Big Show. The show will air on April 15. Are you ready for “Sharki B?”?
Baby Shark talk aside, we can’t wait for whatever Cardi B’s preparing for us on her next album!
