Emily Ratajkowski Publicly Declares Her Love for Joni Mitchell
Emily Ratajkowski, celebrity yet noted downtown cool girl, has once again used clothes to show off her impeccable cultural taste. Yesterday, she stepped out on the chilly streets of New York City to take her dog, Colombo, for a walk. The mom-to-be wore a hulking, red puffer coat, black leggings, and a pair of black Nike shoes. But underneath it all, a familiar face peeked through. EmRata wore an oversize white T-shirt with a hyper-realistic black and white illustration of Canadian folk singer Joni Mitchell wearing a beret.
Ratajkowski has long surprised us with her low-key but buzzy pieces in her wardrobe. She’s worn the sold-out, feverishly cult-beloved Elara hat, merch from her husband’s independent production company, which is responsible for the likes of Uncut Gems and Good Time. Ratajkowski has also frequently worn another red hot, small label, Online Ceramics. She’s been seen in the Grateful Dead-inspired label over the past several years, and wore one of their cheeky totes this past summer that included the images of famous authors like R.L. Stine and Shel Silverstein. Each piece somewhat leads us into a portal of Emrata herself: She loves a good unexpected find, and shows off her downtown sensibility through her clothing. As for this T-shirt with Ms. Mitchell? We’re still unsure whether EmRata is more of a “River” or “A Case Of You” fan.
