The need for a baby carrier to facilitate a hands-free existence becomes very, very real even just a few days after welcoming a new baby—especially if you have a baby like, say, my daughter who just wants to be held, and you still want to be able to drink a cup of coffee; eat a meal; text a friend; and live like a semi-normal human being who just happens to have another human being attached to them at all times.
