Young Miko Expands ‘Do Not Disturb’ Universe with ‘Late Checkout’ Deluxe
Young Miko has officially expanded the world of her sophomore studio album, Do Not Disturb, with the release of its deluxe counterpart, Do Not Disturb: Late Checkout. The project, which arrived on Friday (May 29), serves as a vibrant continuation of the sonic journey she began last November.
The deluxe set introduces six new tracks to the collection, including the previously released single “BIAF<3” and a highly anticipated first-ever collaboration with Rauw Alejandro on the track “Aquel Diciembre.” Throughout the project, the Puerto Rican artist seamlessly navigates diverse genres—from R&B and Afrohouse to drum and bass—all anchored by her signature blend of fierce and smooth vocal delivery.
“‘Late Checkout’ is that moment when the night’s too good to end,” Miko shared with Billboard. “These songs still live inside the Do Not Disturb world, but now it’s less about disconnecting from everything around you and more about feeling well enough to step out and enjoy.”
The expanded album also features contributions from artists such as Clarent, De La Rose, and Destin Conrad. It builds upon the foundation of the original 16-track set, which was famously recorded across various hotel rooms during the artist’s tour. Beyond the music, the project reflects a period of personal healing for the artist, who previously spoke about the challenges of balancing a rapid rise to fame with her own mental well-being.
“I was coming from a moment of a lot of movement and speed,” she previously told Billboard Español. “I didn’t allow myself to be present and enjoy all the fruits of the work I had been doing for so long. And all this chaos affected everything in my life, I felt like I was losing my color, my aura, and my essence.”
With a refreshed perspective, the artist—born María Victoria Ramírez de Arellano Cardon—is preparing for her first-ever arena tour. The 31-date trek, promoted by Live Nation, is set to span 11 countries, including the United States, Mexico, Spain, and Italy. The tour kicks off on July 3 at Denmark’s Roskilde Festival and concludes on Nov. 5 at the Barclays Center in New York.
