Whitney Houston gets her own dedicated Palace collection
About time tbh
Just weeks after releasing a collection with 90s legends Happy Mondays and collabing with cult cycling brand Rapha, skateboard brand Palace is dropping a capsule collection honouring the one and only Whitney Houston.
The collection – which pays homage to the singer as she gains a spot in the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame – includes a varsity jacket made by revered American sportswear brand Ebbets, crewneck tees, sweatshirts, and baseball hats, all emblazoned, varsity style, with Houston’s name. Elsewhere, the late singer is given a Palace makeover, appearing in one iconic photo wearing a vintage logo vest.
To make it even better, all profits from the collection are going directly to the Whitney E. Houston Legacy Foundation, which connects with grassroots programs and initiatives to support youths in need.
“We are very excited to have collaborated with British streetwear brand Palace skateboards for such a special cause… celebrating Whitney’s legacy and supporting her charitable foundation,” said the singer’s former manager and sister-in-law, Pat Houston. “No doubt she would have loved to have worn it herself.” Time to put “I Wanna Dance with Somebody” on repeat, we guess.
The Palace x Whitney Houston capsule collection is set to release online and in-store on November 13 and on November 14 in Japan and China.
