Dazed teamed up with London’s exciting new consumer tech brand Nothing on an event to celebrate their newest audio launch Ear (stick), which saw claw machines and DJ sets from the likes of Benji B, Jordss, and more

Good music changes lives. And lives were changed last night at the Dazed x Nothing Ear (stick) launch party. With the clocks going back last week, marking the official end of British Summer Time, London-based tech company Nothing and Dazed showed that parties don’t end when summer does – if anything, they can get even better. Here’s what went down.

THE EVENT WAS HELD IN A LOFT AND FEATURED CLAW MACHINES

Hackney is full of gems, and Night Tales Loft (NT’s) is one of them. The intimate club and terrace bar overlooks the east London skyline, but the view was the last thing on anyone’s mind as two custom-designed arcade claw machines on the balcony took centre stage. Stranger cheered on stranger as we battled against the machine to win Nothing Ear (stick)s, Nothing Phone (1) and Pokémon plush toys. I’d like to think lifelong friendships were made because of that claw-grabbing machine, as (almost) everyone came out a victor. Each attendee was also gifted a customised Nothing x Dazed lighter as a memento of the night.

THE GUEST LIST WAS FILLED WITH THE HOTTEST CREATIVES

The Nothing Ear (stick) is Nothing’s most advanced audio experience to date. Technological innovation breeds creativity – and the creative community turned up and turnt up for the occasion. Guests included Joy Crookes, Katy B, Dilara Findikolgu, Deto Black, Miss Jason, Shaquille-Aaron Keith, Reece King, Charity Kase, Sheerah Ravindren, Ana Takahashi, and housing activist Kwajo Tweneboa.

WE DANCED THE NIGHT AWAY

The mood was set with music by British DJ Benji B, Queen of R&B edits, Jordss, Parisian DJ Broodo Ramses and J. Caesar b2b Softi. Hit after hit was played, with the crowd favourites being “1991“ by Azealia Banks, “Say So“ by Doja Cat, and all of the remixes of Beyonce’s Renaissance.
