WATCH: Yahritza y Su Esencia & Banda MS Tease New Collaboration

Following their recent backlash due to their comments about Mexico, Yahritza y Su Esencia is ready to release new music. On Aug. 7, the sibling trio posted a taste of their upcoming collaboration with Banda MS. Though we don’t have an official song title yet, the collaboration is set to drop on Friday (Aug. 11).

The Instagram post features a song snippet with the two vocalists. Yahritza is seen in her signature cap and jeans combo holding a glass with Banda MS’ Alan Ramírez vibing to the new jam. The new romantic song features Yahriza singing: “Vamos a querernos despacito, dale.” It also features Ramírez singing: “Besito a besito, pa’ toda la vida.” At the end of the video, we hear both of the crooners finishing off the sneak peek with: “Yo te necesito.” The video has a caption with a singular bomb emoji.

Social media users are expressing their opinion about the new collaboration. An Instagram user, benrhatfield, wrote: “I’m excited for this! I know some people are upset with her, but at the end of the day, she is entitled to her own opinions, and she is very talented!” Another Instagram user, tu_princessa29, commented: “Ridiculous people ???? for a silly thing they make great drama ???? Good song ?????.”

Others prefer a solo version from Banda MS. An Instagram user, mayeligod, wrote: “Will there be a version without Yaritza?”

This wouldn’t be the first time Banda MS collaborates with Yahritza y Su Esencia. On the band’s first concert at the KIA Forum in Inglewood, CA (June 23), they invited the trio to join them on their hit, “Mi Mayor Anhelo.”

Regardless of the trio’s recent dilemma, Yahritza y Su Esencia is thriving across the airwaves. Earlier today (Aug. 8), Billboard reported that the group earned their first-ever No. 1 on the Regional Mexican Airplay chart for their collaboration “Frágil” with Grupo Frontera

“Thank you very much with all our heart,” Yahritza told Billboard about the milestone. “The truth is that it is a blessing and it’s all thanks to our audience. We knew the song would be very special from the moment we started working on it with the Frontera guys, and we’re very pleased that everybody has connected so much with it. We are excited to sing it on our tour that launches Aug. 15.”

Yahritza y Su Esencia will kick off The Obsessed Tour in Seattle, WA, on Aug. 15.
