WATCH: Peso Pluma Teases New Song on TikTok
Peso Pluma has more new music on the way. On Saturday (May 20), the Mexican singer and rapper teased a new song featuring Gabito Ballesteros and Junior H.
On TikTok, Peso Pluma played a portion of his upcoming single. While visiting the Dominican Republic, he posted a video of himself dancing on the beach to the sound of the track’s trombone. Peso also plays a bit of air guitar while jamming to his song. In the post’s caption, he tagged Ballesteros and Junior H’s TikTok accounts. Presumably titled “Bye,” the teaser video has amassed over 17.5 million views.
Peso Pluma also appeared to be filming the music video for “Bye.” Mexican TV personality Dania Méndez joined him in the Dominican Republic. She appeared on the same beach where Peso Pluma was dancing and posted a video to her TikTok account. In the video, she walks out of the ocean and writes the word “Bye” in the sand. Méndez will most likely play the love interest in the music video.
The upcoming song is scheduled to be released on Friday, May 26. Over the weekend, Peso Pluma announced the drop date for the song in a video on Instagram.
“Bye” isn’t the first time Peso Pluma has worked with Gabito Ballesteros and Junior H. The trio of artists collaborated for Junior H’s hit single “El Tsurito,” which dropped last month. Ballesteros also joined Natanael Cano and Peso Pluma on the song “AMG.” Their collaboration peaked at No. 37 on the all-genre Billboard Hot 100 chart.
Moreover, the singer recently added more dates to his upcoming Doble P Tour. Peso Pluma will perform his corrido hits in arenas across the U.S. this summer and fall. His global hit “Ella Baila Sola” with Eslabon Armado sits at No. 5 this week on the Hot 100 chart and No. 1 on Spotify’s Top 50 US and Top 50 Global charts.
Also, the “Ella Baila Sola” singer is the latest artist to join RADAR, Spotify’s marquee artist development program dedicated to spotlighting emerging talent around the world. Per the platform’s press release, “As part of the emerging program, Peso Pluma will receive marketing, editorial, and on-platform support over the course of the next few months.”
