WATCH: Peso Pluma & Anitta Drop Fiery Perreo Anthem ‘BELLAKEO’

Peso Pluma is continuing to explore sounds in el movimiento. On Dec. 7, the Mexican sensation teamed up with Anitta on “BELLAKEO,” a sexy reggaeton collaboration. The result? A perreo-ready joint track to end the year on a high note.

“Mañana vamos a activar el #ModoBellakeo Bellakeo Bella Ke Ke Keo 🥷🏽 @pesopluma!,” the Brazilian superstar wrote on Instagram.

Filmed in Madrid, Spain, the music video features La Doble P and Anitta in a warm, dim-lit ambiance. The two artists trade verses about wanting to dance the night away carelessly. Peso dials down his usual raspy croons and sings about going home with someone without thinking about it twice. The Brazilian star’s signature sensuality and sultry vocals ask the DJ to turn the club anthem up. Sonically, the song features hypnotizing synths, a throbbing beat, and an infectious chorus — “Bellakeo bella ke-ke-ke-keo” — that will live in your brain after the first listen. What’s more, throughout the video, we see Anitta twerking, dancing, and ultimately inciting the camera, giving the viewer the risqué edginess that she’s known for.

“BELLAKEO” isn’t the only reggaeton song La Doble P has offered his listeners this year. In August, Karol G released “QLONA” featuring Peso’s vocals as part of her Mañana Será Bonito (Bichota Season) LP. In July, he dropped his highly-anticipated old-school reggaeton-inspired collaboration “QUEMA” with Colombian singer Ryan Castro. Before that hit joint track, he teamed up with Yng Lvcas on “La Bebe (Remix).” The latter hit ranked on both Spotify’s Most-Streamed Latin Songs Global list (No. 4) and YouTube’s Top Songs list in the U.S. (No. 4) this year.

On the other hand, Anitta recently released her song “MIL VECES” featuring the Italian singer-songwriter Damiano David from the Italian rock band Måneskin in the steamy music video. “MIL VECES” follows Anitta’s last EP Funk Generation: A Favela Love Story. The three-song EP includes “Funk Rave,” “Casi Casi,” and “Used To Be,” which she performed during the MTV Video Music Awards (VMA) on Sept. 12.
