Tourist Unveils Breathtaking Fifth Studio Album “Memory Morning”

Temperatures are rising, flowers are blooming, and spring is in the air. One of our most beloved melodic producers, Tourist, embraces the essence of raw beauty, nature, and the shifting seasons within his breathtaking productions. After releasing a string of singles to start the year, the UK artist is finally ready to unveil his fifth studio album, Memory Morning, out now via Monday Records.

Tourist is no stranger to creating immersive soundscapes through his albums and Memory Morning shows off just how beautiful his touch has become. The album intro, “Lifted Out,” immediately sets the tone, emulating the awakening of dawn, or the gentle blossoming of a flower. Lush organic instrumentations make way for a tapestry of electronic sounds and melodies.

New additions to the album include the psychedelic, synth-laden “Ithaca,” the orchestral, rhythm-centric “Blink,” and of course the blissfully disorienting finale “Memory Morning.” Tourist shares,

“’Memory Morning’ is one of those albums that really took shape as I wrote it. Often my music draws from specific life events, but this album truly lives in and was born from my imagination. I wanted to write something that felt like it whisked you away, an album that felt like a ‘place’, its own world, somewhere you might find new corners with each listen. I wanted Memory Morning to be disorientating in the nicest possible way; to sound like a memory of the music you love.’ It’s the effervescent feeling of when you discover a new piece of music – and particularly in the act of listening on headphones, which is a miraculous experience that I think people take for granted, to feel as though you are physically inside the music.”
