Thalía, Luis Fonsi, Anitta & Laura Pausini to Host 2022 Latin Grammys
One of the biggest nights in Latine music just got even bigger. The Latin Recording Academy announced today that Anitta, Luis Fonsi, Laura Pausini, and Thalía are tapped for hosting duties for the 23rd annual Latin Grammy Awards.
The hosts are no strangers to the ceremony, and their accolades speak for themselves. Anitta is nominated for Record of the Year and Best Reggaeton Performance this year, and has a total of eight career nominations. Fonsi has won five Latin Grammy Awards and earned five Grammy nominations. Pausini has four Latin Grammy Awards and one Grammy. Thalía has generated a total of six nominations throughout her career.
Earlier this week, the Academy announced more performers were added to the already buzzy lineup. Ángela Aguilar, Marc Anthony, Banda Los Recoditos, Carin León, Nicky Jam, and Sin Bandera. Marco Antonio Solís is also set to take the Latin Grammy stage and will be honored as the Latin Recording Academy’s Person of the Year. Previously announced performers include Rauw Alejandro and Sebastián Yatra, who coincidentally are going neck-to-neck in a few of the same categories that evening. Other artists set to hit the stage include Jesse & Joy, and Chiquis.
This year’s Latin Grammy ceremony is clearly aiming to be a crowd-pleaser with a variety of different performers and genres. The ceremony will take place on Nov. 17 at the Michelob Ultra Arena at Mandalay Bay in Las Vegas, NV. So if you’re not able to make it there, you can catch all of the action on the telecast airing on Univision on Nov. 17, 2022, at 8 p.m. ET/PT (7 p.m. CT).
