Take a look inside Palace’s madcap AW22 collection
…and more fashion news you missed
What has been going on in the Palace studio over the past six months? Because, to read the runes on its AW22 collection wouldn’t necessarily bring you closer to the answer. Tailored two pieces bear canine portraits, a Poundland Jesus is emblazoned across fluffy gilets, psychedelic mushrooms glow from sweatshirts, and then there’s a load of fake band merch. Suffice to say the offering boasts all of the irreverence that has fast become Palace’s signature – alongside a certain technical prowess and references to workwear, that is. Clean-lined fleeces extend into reflective hoods, and boxy pockets jut from chore jackets and pebble-hued sweaters. This season’s bounty also includes another adidas collaboration, with its three stripes installed across 90s-style collars and track sleeves. Flick through the gallery above to see the rest of the collection and head over to Palace to shop the lot.
In other fashion news this week, Raf Simons announced that he would be staging his next collection in London, Julia Fox hailed the fallopian fit look, and Valentino invited us all into its nudist escape. Elsewhere, Takeshi Kitano made a glorious appearance in Loewe’s AW22 campaign, as Beyoncé flexed her fashion fluency with RENAISSANCE, and Demna furthered his commitment to help rebuild Ukraine.
