Selena’s Legacy Lives On And Thrives After 26 Years
The late icon’s legacy is being survived by her work, even after 26 years of her death. The artist’s streams saw a skyrocketing increase (70% to be more precise) following the release of a Netflix series about the Grammy-winning star.
The series presents Selena’s life where we get to see her performing with her family band in local events, it also documents her journey to becoming a chart-topping Latin star.
The VP of Spanish-language Originals for Netflix Latin America, Francisco Ramos commented on that saying: “she transcends cultures, ages, and borders and it is amazing that new generations of fans are getting to know her and her music.”
This indicates that great art has the potential of being resurrected and passed to the coming generation.
