Rauw Alejandro & Rosalía Are Finally Teaming Up for an EP – Here’s What We Know
One of Latine music’s power couples is teaming up for a special project. Today (Mar. 13), Rauw Alejandro and Rosalía announced their upcoming joint EP, RR.
On Instagram, Rosalía and Rauw Alejandro announced the surprise EP. The post features the cover art for the project, which is a painting of the EP’s title RR. The 3-track release will include the songs “Beso,” “Vampiros,” and “Promesa.” Rosalía and Rauw also revealed that the project will be released on Mar. 24.
RR will mark the first time Rosalía and Rauw Alejandro formally collaborate on music. Before confirming their relationship in 2021, Rosalía supplied backing vocals for “Dile a Él” off Rauw’s 2020 album Afrodisíaco. Since then, they have co-written songs on each other’s projects. Rauw helped write “Chicken Teriyaki” on Rosalía’s Motomami album, and she co-wrote “Caprichoso” on his Trap Cake, Vol. 2 EP. Rosalía can also be heard at the end of “Corazón Despeinado” on Rauw’s Saturno album.
Now that Rosalía and Rauw Alejandro will finally be on the same songs together, their fans are excited about the EP. “We’re about to see rosalia and rauw eating each other like vampires girl i don’t think we’re ready,” one fan wrote on Twitter. “Rauw and Rosalia coming out with new music OMFG my heart cant take it. they’re literally so cute,” wrote another fan.
Before jumping back into music this year, Rosalía and Rauw Alejandro spent Christmas and New Year’s Day together in Japan. They were spotted hanging out with Christian Nodal and Cazzu. Rosalía released her most recent single, the Spanglish track “LLYLM,” soon after. Rauw recently kicked off his Saturno World Tour. The tour where he is joined by the Jabbawockeez is now moving across the U.S. He also dropped his single “Tamo En Nota” featuring Ángel Dior.
