QRTR Gets Experimental on New Single “without you” with Villager

QRTR made her TSIS debut just over a year ago, with her stellar track, “roll credits.” Since then, the New York-based artist has seen many evolutions in her creative output, continuously perfecting her craft in dance music. The rising producer’s newest creation, “without you,” is here.

“without you” just might be QRTR’s most experimental-style track she’s released. While a four-on-the-floor kick makes up the track’s foundation, highly rhythmic synths and sporadic fx fill the rest of the mix with delightful syncopation. The track additionally features co-production from Villager, who sent the original demo for “without you,” as well as a perfectly nuanced vocal performance from QRTR.

I made it when I was questioning why I even continue to make music when it is so difficult to make a living doing it.
