Proenza Schouler Just Dropped a Surprise Collection—Shop It Now on the Outnet
Fashion Week this year is unlike anything we’ve seen before; the majority of shows (sans audiences) are beaming into computers by way of livestreams and look book releases. And yet Proenza Schouler still managed to make waves last week with their fall 2021 collection release. After a recent signing with IMG Models, Ella Emhoff—Vice President Kamala Harris’s stepdaughter—had her coming-out appearance in Proenza’s show. But the buzz was just as much about Emhoff’s appearance as the new, beautiful collection filled with earth-toned midi-dresses and sleek-yet-wearable pantsuits. This week Proenza returns with another exciting update: a new capsule collection that requires no wait time before taking covetable pieces home.
Today luxury online retailer the Outnet partnered with Proenza Schouler on the launch of an exclusive capsule collection of 27 styles. Each piece is constructed from Proenza’s archive fabrics and prints from previous collections but in new ways. “Many of the styles offered through this capsule are variations of some of our favorite or best-selling pieces from past seasons but cut in completely new fabrics to create styles that have never been seen before and are exclusive to the Outnet,” Jack McCollough and Lazaro Hernandez, designers of Proenza Schouler, say of the capsule. “Sustainability is something we have been focused on internally, and this has been an incredible exercise in using what we have to create something that feels fresh and new.” From structured dresses to polished long-sleeve T-shirts, the collection is a perfect fit for the current times while looking forward to life after reemergence too.
