Peso Pluma & Becky G Are Collaborating – Here’s What We Know

Despite dealing with public cheating allegations, Becky G is busy working on new music. On Mar. 30, she’s set to release her newest regional Mexican collaboration, “Chanel,” with the corrido tumbado emerging artist Peso Pluma.

Today (Mar. 29), Becky G posted an Instagram photo with the words: “te lleve a Chanel.” We see her wearing a jersey and, notably, without her engagement ring on. Could the caption be the upcoming single’s lyrics? Though neither have officially posted about the collaboration, Peso confirmed the single’s name via Instagram live on Mar. 28.

“March 31, Becky G. It is called ‘Chanel,’” he said on the livestream. A day later, it was officially announced the actual date for the release would be a day earlier on the 30th. “Está bien pasada de v*rga.”

The anticipation for the collaboration has been high all week. Earlier this week, TikTok videos of Becky and Peso recording the upcoming video started to surface online. One of the leaked videos shows the two artists in the middle of a 360-rotating camera, surrounded by the video’s production crew.

Another unveiled video clip shows the duo sitting on the back of a black pick-up truck while Becky lays down her unreleased verse. We see her wearing her signature hoop earrings and what appears to be a cropped sports jersey.

Fans are thrilled about the upcoming collaboration. A Twitter user wrote, “PESO PLUMA X BECKY G OTRO ROLLO !!! ??‍???.” Another Twitter user wrote, “SO EXCITED!!!!! can’t wait for you and peso pluma, you’re going to shock the world.”

Moreover, fans are also speculating that Peso will be a special guest at Becky G’s upcoming Coachella performance. Though unconfirmed, the emerging rapper said during an interview, “We are doing something with Becky G. We were invited to a very special event that we hope to go to in April.”

This joint track comes as no surprise since Becky is actively working on her upcoming regional Mexican album. “The songs are also a 200 percent representation,” she told Remezcla about her upcoming music. “There’s half of it that’s more inspired by a traditional regional Mexican sound, and then we have another half of it that’s very much new school.” As for Peso, he announced yesterday (Mar. 28) his first-ever U.S. tour.
