No, Cardi B Didn’t Expose Kim Kardashian Over Plastic Surgery — Here’s What Really Happened
Cardi B is known for being transparent and unapologetic in letting fans into her life. Her recent interview with Jason Lee for REVOLT’s The Jason Lee Show was just another chance for her to be the open person fans love to see.
In the interview, Cardi B admitted that she got plastic surgery after having her first child but not as quickly as people might assume. “I wanted to get my body done first,” she admits in the interview. “A lot of people thought when I gave birth, I automatically went to go get surgery. I waited like seven months to do surgery. You have to.”
She added that: “This is the tricky thing. People be assuming that, like, when you do surgery or something, you’re insecure about yourself or you hate yourself and that’s just not the truth. I just be feeling like if I want to correct something, do a little something something, I’m gonna do it.”
Yet, one piece of information from the interview has gone viral because it has to do with Kim Kardashian, who has denied rumors for years that she’s gotten any plastic surgery on her face besides botox. The whole moment came about because Cardi B had fillers put into her nose in 2019 and she realized it was a mistake.
“I did fillers on my nose in 2019 and that sh*t f*cked my nose up,” Cardi B told Lee. “When you see things on Instagram, it makes sense. But fillers made my nose longer. It got wider and I’m like, ‘Oh my gosh, what the f*ck? I f*cked up my nose.’”
Lee followed that up by recalling a moment where Kardashian gave Cardi B advice on what to do next when it came to her body and face, “I remember the time we were at Kris’ [Jenner] house and Kim gave you a list of people you could call and get help. You didn’t call none of those people, you just did it at home?’”
Cardi B confirmed that she called a couple of doctors on the list given to her by Kardashian but she didn’t elaborate much further than that. And even though it was a short snippet of the conversation, the internet ran with it, wondering if Cardi B had outed the socialite even though it was Lee who asked the question and name-dropped the Kardashian family.
At the end of the day, the interview garnered a lot of support from Cardi B’s fans.
Many praised her for being open about getting plastic surgery, with a Youtube comment from Marin Delvalle saying, “I love Cardi’s personality, she is simply unapologetic and never ashamed of her past. That’s why I love and support her.” And others like Miss Ruth saying, “I’m so happy Cardi is in a better place mentally and emotionally. People forget celebrities are human beings too.”
