Mon Laferte & La Arrolladora Banda el Limón Lament a Toxic Relationship On Banda ‘Se Me Va A Quemar El Corazón’ Remix

Chile and Sinaloa come together on the banda version of “Se Me Va a Quemar El Corazón.” Mon Laferte‘s “Se Me Va a Quemar El Corazón” teams up with La Arrolladora Banda el Limón de René Camacho for a banda version of her latest hit that was released today (Feb. 25).

The Chilean rock star first released “Se Me Va a Quemar El Corazón” in January. The original version leaned more towards ranchera. She sang her heart out about being in the grips of a toxic romance. The song is revamped in a new version with La Arrolladora Banda el Limón de René Camacho. La Arrolladora Banda el Limón gives the song extra brass. The band’s lead singer Esaúl García beautifully complements Laferte’s heartache as they lament an unhealthy relationship.

“The Banda has always caught my attention; for me, it is something very new in terms of music,” Laferte said in a statement. “A lot of Mexican music comes to Chile, but the band is not something that is known there. I find it amazing that it is accompanied only by wind instruments. It was the opportunity with La Arrolladora, and I loved it. They made the arrangement and it was incredible.”

The music video for “Se Me Va a Quemar El Corazón” was shot in Guadalajara, Jalisco by Rodrigo Robles. Laferte and García duet to the song in a local cantina as La Arrolladora Banda el Limón plays on.
