Los Rivera Destino Talk Debut Album ‘Besitos y Besitas’ & Mixing Comedy Into Music

The Colombian singer-songwriter Sebastián Yatra released today (April 19) his newest music video for “Si Me La  Haces,” the reggaeton pop collaboration with Puerto Rican artist Lenny Tavarez and the emerging Cuban-Puerto Rican singer Mariah Angeliq.

In the official music video directed by Daniel Duran, we first see Yatra and Tavarez filling in some paperwork. As it turned out, it was an application for a boyfriend solicitation. Mariah then gives the two candidates a lie-detector test, where they’re assessed on their loyalty. The tests include Mariah looking through their cell phones and having women tease them to see their honest reactions. In the end, they both end up tying for the futuristic boyfriend application score. However, the plot twist is that neither guys get the position and are instead left in the streets confused.

Yatra has had a great start to the year and continues to dominate the Latine music scene with award nominations for his latest album, Dharma. This week, he is up for five Latin American Music Awards, including the categories of Favorite Artist – Pop, Favorite Song – Pop for “Pareja Del Año” with Myke Towers, Viral Song of the Year for “Tacones Rojos,” Favorite Video for “Melancólicos Anónimos,” and Favorite Social Artist.

Moreover, Yatra recently released a new, bilingual version of his No. 1 Billboard charting pop single “Tacones Rojos,” teaming up with John Legend. And if that weren’t enough, Yatra also recently left his mark during the 94th annual Academy Awards by performing “Dos Oruguitas” from the animated film Encanto. We’re not even halfway through 2022, and it has already been an impactful year for the “Traicionera” singer.
