LeBron James Speaks On "Courtside Karen" And Friends' Ejection From Basketball Game
2021 just started and The Karens are still out here doing the most. After exchanging heated words with basketball star LeBron James during Monday night’s Los Angeles Lakers versus Atlanta Hawks game, a woman (now dubbed “Courtside Karen”), her husband, and others were ejected from the venue.
The woman, identified as Juliana Carlos, engaged in a maskless spat with the four-time MVP. The 25-year-old later took to her now-private Instagram account to share her side of the incident. In a series of Instagram Stories clips, she claims her husband and James exchanged words and how she decided to verbally defend her man.
“Anyway, I’m minding my own business, drinking my [beverage], having fun. All of the sudden, LeBron says something to my husband, and I see this. I stand up and I go, ‘Don’t fu**ing talk to my husband.'” she alleges in the video. “And he looks at me and he goes, ‘Sit the f**k down, bi**h.’ And I go, ‘Don’t f**king call me a bi**h. You sit the f**k down. Get the f**k out of here. And I go, “Don’t f**king talk to my husband like that! Don’t talk to my husband!’ And he literally was like, ‘F**k you, bi**h! Sit down, bi**h,’ now all of a sudden I’m getting kicked out. Excuse me I have courtside seats that I paid for.”

In an NBA post-game interview, James spoke on the incident and shared how although, he missed that type of fan interaction, he didn’t think the attendees needed to be removed.
“At the end of the day, I’m happy fans are back in the building. I miss that interaction. I need that interaction; we as players need that interaction. I don’t feel like it was warranted to be kicked out,” he said. “There was a back and forth between two grown men. We said our piece; he said his piece, I said my piece, and then someone else jumped into it and said their piece. They might have had a couple drinks, maybe and they could have probably kept it going and the game wouldn’t have been about the game no more, so I think the referees did what they had to do.”
In the wee hours of last night, James took to his Twitter account to jokingly share his thoughts on the viral moment. “Courtside Karen was MAD MAD!!” he tweeted with a series of crying laughing emojis. King James
