Kid Cudi Says Pusha T Track Is His “Last Song” With Kanye West
After the tracklist for Pusha T’s new album It’s Almost Dry was released, fans noticed that Kanye West appeared on the tracklist twice and even on a song with Kid Cudi titled “Rock N Roll.” The two have made music together in the past, but they’ve fallen out in recent years. So much so that Cudi said in a tweet that this was his last song with Kanye.
On Tuesday morning, Cudi tweeted out a statement, “Hey! So I know some of you heard about the song I got w Pusha. I did this song a year ago when I was still cool w Kanye. I am not cool w that man.” He clarified, “He’s not my friend, and I only cleared the song for Pusha cuz that’s my guy. This is the last song u will hear me on w Kanye -Scott.”
Back in 2013, Kid Cudi left West’s music label G.O.O.D. Music but stressed that there was “no beef” between them. They continued making music together and released a joint album called KIDS SEE GHOSTS in 2018. Fast forward to October 2021, when Pete Davidson started dating West’s ex-wife Kim Kardashian, Cudi maintained a friendship with Davidson. West cut Cudi from his latest album Donda 2, and wrote, “Just so everyone knows Cudi will not be on D.O.N.D.A. because he’s friends with you know who we all speak in Billie language now.”
Cudi replied, “too bad I don’t want to be on your album you fu**n dinosaur hahaha everyone knows I’ve been the best thing about your albums since I met you. Ima pray you 4 brother.”
Their public falling out is just one of West’s many displayed all over social media before being suspended in March. He’s posted disparaging comments about comedian Trevor Noah, Machine Gun Kelly, and Billie Eilish — to name a few.
Cudi seems to be focused on his career as he’s set to perform at Governor’s Ball in New York City this June and is also writing, directing, and starring in a new Netflix film called “Teddy.”
