Karol G Delivers Sizzling Performances of ‘Mañana Será Bonito’ Songs in ‘SNL’ Debut: Watch

Karol G showcased songs from her groundbreaking album, Mañana Será Bonito, on Saturday Night Live on April 15.

In her musical guest debut on the NBC sketch comedy series, the Colombian singer-songwriter captivated the audience with fiery renditions of “Mientras Me Curo Del Cora” and “Tus Gafitas,” from her latest Billboard 200 chart-topping release. The episode featured Cuban-born actress Ana de Armas as the host. With pink hair and accompanied by a group of singers, Karol G began with a laid-back performance of “Mientras Me Curo Del Cora,” which reached No. 8 on Billboard’s Hot Latin Songs chart in March. She later re-emerged with a full band, delivering a dynamic rendition of “Tus Gafitas” while wearing a spiky black top and posing next to a black convertible.

Both songs are featured on Karol G’s fourth album, Mañana Será Bonito, which debuted at No. 1 on the Billboard 200 in March. The album made history as the first all-Spanish-language chart-topper by a woman and marked the singer’s first No. 1 album on the chart. Apart from her musical performances, Karol G also made a cameo in the “Spanish Class” sketch with Blonde star de Armas. In the skit, she sported a black T-shirt with the word Photoshop crossed out, referencing her recent dissatisfaction with GQ Mexico over her magazine cover.

“Today my GQ magazine cover was made public, a cover with an image that does not represent me,” she expressed on Instagram in early April. “My face doesn’t look like that, my body doesn’t look like that, and I feel very happy and comfortable with how I look naturally.”
