J Balvin Jumps on Ty Dolla $ign & Post Malone’s ‘Spicy’ Remix

Ty Dolla Sign’s latest hit with Post Malone just got extra spicy with a new remix. The singer-songwriter released the remix to “Spicy” today (Jan. 29) with the addition of J Balvin, YG and Tyga.

Ty Dolla Sign first dropped “Spicy” last October, featured on his latest album Featuring Ty Dolla Sign. He and Post Malone took the song to No. 53 on the Billboard Hot 100 chart. The original music video has garnered over 8 million views on YouTube.

Among all the English-language verses on “Spicy,” Balvin finds his footing on the sensual track in Spanish. “I’m sorry,” he says in his sole English line before going back into Spanish to add, “Estos son otros niveles.” Balvin even finds the time to reference the 2000s Mexican telenovela Rebelde when he namedrops Mia Colucci.

Both YG and Tyga, who bring new attitude to “Spicy,” have a recent history of blending hip-hop and Latin music. In 2019, YG went mariachi with his song “Go Loko” featuring Puerto Rican artist Jon Z.

Last week, Tyga jumped on the track “Girl Like You.” That’s the debut single by Dimelo Flow, the hit producer behind Sech, who also joined them on the track. The team on “Girl Like You” was rounded out by rising Nuyorican rapper J.I. the Prince of N.Y.
