Irina Shayk Says Yes to the Statement Winter Coat
The wise Britney Spears once sang, “There’s only two types of people in the world: the ones that entertain, and the ones that observe.” This can also be said about fashion, and Irina Shayk falls squarely into the first category. Continuing her months-long streak of killer street style, the model stepped out in some seriously wild-printed outerwear on two occasion this week. She’s rocking the anti-basic coat, in a season when it’s oh-so easy to reach for the same black parka over and over.
A few days ago, Shayk was spotted in New York City wearing a striped teddy bear coat from Max Mara. With bold navy blue and tan stripes, it’s hardly a neutral—more of a traffic-stopper. She paired the graphic coat with hefty combat boots by Schutz, fur-trimmed gloves, and a chic little top-handle bag by By Far. You might think that this coat, at over $4,000, is her one statement coat investment for the winter, but you’d be wrong! Today, Shayk hit the streets yet again in another zingy coat, this time a tiger-printed trench by Rowen Rose, a Parisian label. She gave it some edge by styling it with leather pants by Nii Hai, a black turtleneck by Falconeri, a black By Far bag, (clearly one of her favorite labels), and chunky Burberry sneakers.
Styled by Marc Eram, these two bold outerwear looks proved yes, even in the winter, you can be practical and eye-catching Take a cue from Shayk and use the streets as your stage!
