Indie Artist Until The Ribbon Breaks Releases Haunting New Single “Strange Times”

Indie artist Until The Ribbon Breaks (aka Pete Lawrie-Winfield) is back and better than ever. His new song “Strange Times” is a fever dream of melody.

On this new track, Until The Ribbon Breaks serves up a compelling blend of ethereal soundscapes and poignant songwriting. With deep, dramatic swells of violin and washes of synth, he creates a warm, exotic yet haunting ambience. The introspective lyrics talk about a time of deep transition in life, talking about feeling “caught in between strange times,” and finding light in dark places.

There’s also a video accompanying this song’s release, directed UTBR  himself. Here’s what he had to say about its creation:

The Strange Times video was a perfect opportunity to see what I could achieve with a small, amazing crew of friends, a love of Apocalypse Now and Blade Runner and the strange, glorious state of Florida as a location. Luckily, this video came from a deep love of movies that feel like fever dreams, that lean on mystery and suggestion, leaving more questions than answers. It felt good to make something from the ground up with my friends. To me at least, that was always the dream.”
