Gucci might be glaringly absent from the SS21 Milan schedule given Alessandro Michele announced the label would be dropping down to two shows a year, but that doesn’t mean the label doesn’t have *big news* this fashion season.
Taking to Instagram and TikTok last night, the label dropped a short teaser video announcing an upcoming collab with The North Face by way of a double-logo flag pitched at the summit of a mountain and atop a tent. Suddenly, we’re, like… really into the idea of camping in the wilderness?
Of course, The North Face is no stranger to a collaboration, dipping its toe into the world of high fashion through partnerships with Supreme, Junya Watanabe, and, most recently, Maison Margiela. For Michele, however, the project marks the first time he’s linked up with a label since taking Gucci’s helm five years ago.
With further details of the collab limited right now, watch this space for more and, in the meantime, reacquaint yourself with how The North Face went from dad staple to taking over the front row at fashion week here.
