From its humble beginnings on New York’s Lafayette Street, to LA, to London, to the world, iconic skate brand Supreme continues its world domination.
After throwing open the doors to its first Italian store in Milan earlier this year, the label is now giving German hypebeasts cause for celebration by opening a new space slap bang on the border between Berlin’s Mitte and Prenzlauer Berg districts – just down the road from Soho House and round the corner from the city’s Sneakersnstuff outpost.
The opening follows last week’s announcement of a collab between Supreme and legendary legacy jeweller Tiffany & Co. Getting its debut via a hazy, lo-fi film in which Supreme skater Sean Pablo is seen wearing a pearl necklace strung with Tiffany’s signature oval logo plaque, unsurprisingly, fans on social media lost their shit. Other rumoured fruits of the surprising link-up include a dual-branded pocket knife and a reimagined box logo tee.
Back in October, meanwhile, the label added to its already wild list of Supreme-ified everyday objects by dropping a branded two kilo firelog – thus giving a whole new meaning to the concept of burning money. “Will sell the ashes of each log I burn to the biggest hypebeast ever,” wrote one fan on Twitter, which seems like a pretty solid idea to us tbh.
The Berlin Supreme store opens today (November 11). The only question that remains is: where’s next?
