From Ice Spice to ‘La Gata Bajo la Lluvia,’ These Are Our Fave Music-Related Costumes

We’ve reached the end of this year’s Halloween season. From covering spooky corridos and creepy podcasts to even haunted locations, we’ve made the best out of this month’s chilling vibe. And to top it all off, we’re also taking note of this year’s most creative music-related Halloween costumes.

When we say fans think out-of-the-box, we mean it. Social media users are posting some of the coolest music-related costumes we’ve seen in a while. For example, a TikTok user moisexy.c is embracing their señora era with a costume that celebrates Rocío Dúrcal’s iconic song “La Gata Bajo La Lluvia.” With a DIY cotton cloud umbrella and a cat mask, the online user found a witty way to portray the song’s title.

Other social media users are dressing up as memorable pop culture moments. One of the most talked about alleged couples this year is Bad Bunny and Kendall Jenner. Earlier this year, Benito posted an Instagram story where he tells Kendall to be careful with the mosquitos. And yes, some creative fans assembled a costume to commemorate the viral moment. Moreover, another look people rocked was Taylor Swift and Bad Bunny at the Grammys earlier this year.

And that’s not all. There were many Bad Bunny denim looks this year. Of course, there were also some Peso Pluma — and Peso Plumita — costumes that made it onto our FYP. And with música mexicana being such a hit this year, how could you miss out on dancing to Grupo Exterminador’s popular “Las Monjitas” remix in a nun or “La Monja de la Feria” costume, or an opportunity to intertwine a classic Shrek costume with buchona vibes

Other popular celebrity getups were Ice Spice in the “Boy’s a liar Pt. 2” music video (who Drake also dressed up as), Becky G’s signature royal blue tour outfit, and the one and only Young Miko. Other online users dressed up in Feid’s iconic green and white-framed glasses look, the emblematic Paquita La Del Barrio, and one of Christina Aguilera’s most daring looks. We also saw plenty of fans dressed up as Shakira in her “Las de la Intuición” music video – purple wig and all.

There were also celeb couples. We spotted fans dressed up as Karol G and Feid and an ode to what once was Rosalía and Rauw Alejandro.

People from our communities really showed out with their costumes this Halloween. We can’t wait for 2024.
