Hold a minute: Coldplay is not stopping their Music of the Spheres touring yet. Today (Aug. 22), the global band announced their international leg with U.K., European, and Latin American dates, which feature stops in Brazil, Peru, Colombia, Chile, Argentina, Portugal, and Spain.
The band will start their Latin American shows on Sept. 10. at the Rock in Rio Festival in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil. From there, they will perform on two dates (Sept. 13 and Sept. 14.) at the Estadio Nacional in Lima, Peru. The band will perform at the Estadio El Campín in Bogotá, Colombia, on Sept. 16 and Sept. 17.
From Sept. 20 to Sept. 24, Coldplay will perform at the Estadio Nacional in Santiago, Chile. They will then make their way to the Estadio Nilton Santos in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil, on Oct. 11 and Oct. 12.
Then, Coldplay will perform six shows at the Allianz Parque in São Paulo, Brazil, on Oct 15, Oct. 16, Oct. 18-19, and 21-22. Afterward, they will perform an impressive ten shows at the Estadio River Plate in Buenos Aires, Argentina, from Oct. 25-26, Oct. 28-29, Nov. 1-2, Nov. 4-5, and Nov. 7-8.

We can’t but wonder which surprise guests the band will sing with or give tribute to this time. Coldplay sang surprising covers and duets throughout Latin America in the last tour leg. This included a cover of Juan Luis Guerra’s “Bachata Rosa” in Santo Domingo, a duet with Fher of Maná in Guadalajara, Jalisco, and a cover of Juan Gabriel’s “Amor Eterno” in Mexico City.
Moreover, the “Yellow” singing band is staying true to their commitment to more eco-friendly tours. They announced their partnership with BMW to help make this happen: “We’re proud to partner with @bmw / @bmwi based on a common awareness of sustainability. Together we created the world’s first tourable, rechargeable show battery – which will allow us to power our concerts almost entirely from clean, renewable energy,” the band wrote on their social media.
