Blessd & Ryan Castro Announce Joint ‘Ay Bendito Ghetto’ Tour: ‘United, No Egos’

Blessd and Ryan Castro, two of Colombia’s rising urban music stars, are joining forces for a major tour in 2024, Billboard has revealed exclusively. The 15-city tour, titled Ay Bendito Ghetto (inspired by their nicknames: Blessd’s “El Bendito” and Castro’s “El Cantante del Ghetto”), is organized by Touring the World and Seitrack US. It kicks off on October 31st in San Jose, California, and concludes on December 1st in Atlanta, making stops in major cities like Los Angeles and Miami along the way.

Blessd and Castro have expressed their excitement about this collaboration. “Putting together this tour has been a true team effort,” Blessd shared with Billboard. “It symbolizes the unity of our teams. Ryan and I, although not officially a duo, have a unique chemistry that fans appreciate. I believe people will be pleasantly surprised and enjoy what we’ve prepared.”

Castro added, “This is unprecedented in Colombia – two urban artists touring together. There’s often a lot of ego in the industry here, but we’re fortunate to set an example for the next generation by being the first to do this.”

Both artists have a history of successful collaborations. They performed together in a joint concert in Colombia in 2022, where each artist had their own set before coming together for a series of duets. They plan to replicate this format for their upcoming tour, featuring their solo hits like “Jordan” and “Medallo”, as well as their collaborations. They also aim to invite special guests to enhance the concert experience. “The best part is we’re going to have fun and show that it’s all about unity, not ego, among the new generation,” Blessd noted. “We have high expectations because we know our capabilities. We’re going to put on a great show and proudly represent our flag, just like we do in our solo careers.”

Currently, Blessd is promoting his single “Mirame,” produced by Ovy on the Drums, along with his joint EP with Maluma titled “1 OF 1.” Meanwhile, Castro is pushing his debut studio album, “El Cantante del Ghetto,” and the track “El Ritmo Que Nos Une,” which has become Colombia’s anthem for the 2024 Copa America.
