Bianca Del Rio Joining New Drag Show As Judge — Here’s What We Know

Bianca Del Rio, who is of Cuban and Honduran descent, made herstory on RuPaul’s Drag Race as the first Latina winner. She snatched the crown back on season six in 2014. Since then, Del Rio has remained one of the top-earning drag queens from the show thanks to her sell-out comedy tours around the world. Now she is returning to the small screen in a drag-inspired series.

Bianca Del Rio will star and serve as a judge on Hulu’s Drag Me To Dinner.

Her co-judges include Neil Patrick Harris and Haneefah Wood. Murray Hill will be the host. Forty drag queens, including fan favorites from RuPaul’s Drag Race, will appear on the series. And across the 10 episodes, two teams of drag queens will compete to see who can throw the most “drag-tastical dinner parties of all time” as per the press release. David Burtka will reveal each episode’s party theme.

Among the drag queens competing on Drag Me To Dinner are two beloved Boricuas: Alexis Mateo and her drag daughter Vanessa Vanjie Mateo. From the first-look photos from the show, it appears they will be working together. Alexis Mateo originally competed on season three of RuPaul’s Drag Race. Though Vanessa Vanjie Mateo was the first eliminated in season 10, she had an exit that went viral. She later competed again in season 11.

Previous winners from RuPaul’s Drag Race and the All-Stars spin-off will also be competing like BeBe Zahara Benet, Raja, Jinkx Monsoon, Alaska, Jaida Essence Hall, Symone, and Trinity the Tuck. Other fan-favorites appearing on the show include BenDeLaCreme, Kim Chi, Latrice Royale, Manila Luzon, Willam, and many more.

Drag Me To Dinner will start streaming on Hulu on May 31.
