Bad Bunny Unseats Drake & Places New Album at No. 1
Bad Bunny is extending his untouchable record on the all-genre Billboard 200 chart. This week, the Puerto Rican superstar has the No. 1 LP in the U.S. with his new album Nadie Sabe Lo Que Va a Pasar Mañana.
Bad Bunny first made history on the Billboard 200 chart when his El Último Tour Del Mundo LP debuted at No. 1. He became the first artist to reach the summit of the chart with an all-Spanish album. Last year, when Un Verano Sin Ti debuted at No. 1, Bad Bunny became the first artist with more than one all-Spanish album to reach the top of the chart. Now he has pulled off a three-peat with his new album Nadie Sabe Lo Que Va a Pasar Mañana.
Bad Bunny’s Nadie Sabe Lo Que Va a Pasar Mañana is his third consecutive album to debut at No. 1 on the Billboard 200 chart. Before its release on Oct. 13, he previewed it with the hit songs “Where She Goes” and “Un Preview.” In its first week out, the LP earned 184,000 equivalent album units. Most of that haul was earned through online streaming.
Bad Bunny was able to push last week’s No. 1 album down one spot with Nadie Sabe Lo Que Va a Pasar Mañana. Drake’s For All the Dogs moved to the No. 2 spot with over 164,000 equivalent album units. The LP featured the song “Gently,” which Benito featured on. That marked their first collaboration since working together on 2018’s “Mia” from Bad Bunny’s X 100pre album.
To further promote the album, Bad Bunny appeared on Saturday Night Live over the weekend. He pulled double duty as the host and musical guest artist. Lady Gaga and Pedro Pascal introduced his “Un Preview” and “Monaco” performances, respectively.
