Alexa Demie Joins Star-Studded Lineup as Calvin Klein’s Newest Brand Ambassador
Becoming the face of the American fashion brand Calvin Klein is to join ranks with some of the biggest names in fashion, culture, and entertainment, including Kate Moss, SZA, Grace Coddington, and Maluma. This Fall, Alexa Demie of Euphoria, joins the cast of icons in Calvin Klein’s (CK) Fall 2023 campaign.
CK released its Fall 2023 campaign on Monday (August 14), featuring a lineup of prominent A-listers, including Alexa Demie, BLACKPINK member Jennie, Kendall Jenner, BTS member Jungkook, and fellow Afro-Latino singer Kid Cudi.
The Fall 2023 campaign includes black and white portraits (with the occasional full-color image) photographed by fashion and art photographers Inez & Vinoodh. Each of the models differs in their environments, posing in their element while showcasing CK’s signature styles and products.
Both Demie and Jenner spotlight the brand’s iconic lingerie and loungewear, including bralettes, bodysuits, shapewear, and denim.
Jonathan Bottomley, the global chief marketing officer of CK tells Hypebeast, “This fall campaign is a celebration of Calvin Klein’s most iconic products, featuring brand ambassadors who are shaping the culture of today.”
He also tells WWD, “We are incredibly strategic around our choice of ambassadors, with each selected due to their authentic relationships with the brand and their ability to engage audiences in key markets.”
Demie, most notably linked to her character, Maddy Perez in Euphoria, was previously connected to Balenciaga last year, where she “almost exclusively sported Demna’s designs for all her recent appearances,” according to Vogue. She also modeled in Balenciaga’s Winter 2022 campaign alongside Kim Kardashian.
Demna was the creative director of Balenciaga, who late last year was under fire for Balenciaga’s holiday ad campaign that featured children holding teddy bears with BDSM harnesses and costumes. She did not make any public statements denouncing the brand, but she has purged her social media accounts of any content featuring the brand. She also unfollowed Balenciaga amid the scandal.
The Calvin Klein Fall 2023 collection is now available on CalvinKlein.com.
