2026 Billboard Latin Music Awards Finalists: Announcement Details
The journey to the 2026 Billboard Latin Music Awards is officially underway. As the industry prepares to celebrate the most influential voices in the genre, anticipation is building for the announcement of this year’s top contenders.
The finalists for the 2026 Billboard Latin Music Awards will be revealed on Wednesday, Sept. 9, at 5 p.m. ET. The announcement will be broadcast live via the “Telemundo Entretenimiento” YouTube channel, as well as through Billboard and Billboard Español. Following the special broadcast, the complete list of finalists, along with official press materials, will be made available to the media.
A Celebration of Latin Music Excellence
Recognized as the most prestigious and longest-running awards ceremony in the industry, the 2026 Billboard Latin Music Awards will take place on Thursday, Oct. 22, at the James L. Knight Center in Miami. The event will be broadcast live on Telemundo and Peacock, bringing the biggest names in music to a global audience.
These awards honor the top artists, albums, and songs of the year, with winners determined by a comprehensive analysis of sales, streaming, radio airplay, and social data that inform Billboard’s weekly charts over a one-year period.
Billboard Latin Music Week Returns
As is tradition, the awards ceremony will coincide with the 2026 #LatinMusic Week, which returns to the Faena Forum in Miami Beach from Oct. 19-22. Now in its 37th edition, the gathering remains the most influential event in the Latin music industry. Attendees can expect exclusive artist conversations, business panels with key executives, the celebrated Billboard En Vivo showcases, and extensive networking opportunities.
Last year, Bad Bunny dominated the stage, taking home 11 trophies, including artist of the year. He was followed by Karol G and Fuerza Regida, who secured six and five awards, respectively. As the industry looks ahead to this year’s ceremony, fans are eagerly awaiting news on performers and presenters in the coming weeks.
