Kobe Bryant’s Daughter Gets Now-Viral Moment at Taylor Swift Concert — Here’s What Happened
Vanessa Bryant, the widow of late NBA superstar Kobe Bryant, and her 6-year-old daughter, Bianka, were welcomed with open arms by singer Taylor Swift at a concert in Los Angeles Thursday night (August 3).
Vanessa captured the moment when Swift embraced Bianka from the stage at SoFi Stadium where Swift was kicking off her latest concert series. “We love you @taylorswift,” Vanessa wrote in the photo caption on Instagram.
During the quick exchange, which took place during the song “22,” Swift gave Bianka the hat she was wearing. It’s become a tradition that Swift gives her “22” hat to someone in the crowd during a live performance.
Earlier that same evening, Vanessa shared a photo of a denim jacket featuring a photo of Swift and her late husband. The word “Swiftie” was emblazoned on the jacket. On another part of the jacket, a patch with the words, “Say you’ll remember me” was decorated with gems, most likely to honor Gianna “Gigi” Bryant and Kobe but also a lyric from “Wildest Dreams.”
The photo of Kobe and Swift was taken when the basketball legend joined her on stage at a concert in 2015. At that time he was presenting Swift with a banner for setting a new record when it came to sold-out shows at the Staples Center.
Since Kobe and Gigi’s death three years ago, Vanessa has always found ways to remember her husband and daughter and has shared some of those moments with the world. In October 2020, she posted a photo of a tattoo she got featuring the names of her entire family. Last year, she shared a tribute to Kobe and Vanessa for Dia de Muertos.
