Bad Bunny Invites Families of Uvalde Victims to His San Antonio Concert
Don’t let the name “Bad Bunny” fool you — the man has a heart of gold. Steve Garcia, the father of nine-year-old Eliahna “Ellie” Garcia, one of the victims in the tragic Uvalde school shooting, revealed on his Facebook page that Benito invited him and his wife Jennifer Lugo to his sold-out concert in San Antonio, Texas.
Garcia and Lugo were given complimentary private suite tickets at the Alamodome stadium in San Antonio, located an hour and a half from Uvalde. They were also given free merchandise and VIP luxuries such as a free buffet dinner, private restrooms, and more. “Bad Bunny and Live Nation have a heart of gold for he brought out not only myself and our beautiful ’21 Family’ and our survivors as well!” wrote Garcia in a separate post. “Thank you, sir, for your generosity and hospitality!”
The Garcia family weren’t the only ones touched by the gesture. Fans of the Puerto Rican rapper took to social media to share their thoughts.
“Bad Bunny gave the Uvalde families free tickets to his concert,” wrote a social media user. “I’m already his #1 fan but when I hear things like this, it makes me immensely proud to support him.”
“Bad Bunny got all the Uvalde families suites, gifts and dinners?” wrote another fan. “Just when I thought I couldn’t stan any harder!”
Perhaps the most touching part of the experience is how closely the Garcia family kept their daughter Ellie’s spirit involved. In another touching social media post, Garcia wrote: “I can’t stop thanking [Bad Bunny] enough for bringing us out to a whole new way of experiencing a live show. Tonight our beautiful Ellie sits in with us to experience [it] with us! I love you baby! Tonight we #LiveLikeEllie.” “Thank you again, Bad Bunny” he continued. “Uvalde is in the house!”
