WATCH: Becky G Makes Surprise Appearance With J-Hope at Lollapalooza
After much speculation, Becky G finally took the stage with K-pop sensation J-Hope for a surprise performance at the 2022 edition of Lollapalooza in Chicago, IL, on July 31.

Towards the end of his headlining set, J-Hope brought out Becky G to perform their trilingual remake of Webstar and Young B’s 2006 hit “Chicken Noodle Soup.” Upon entering the stage, the Mexican-American singer was graced with rapturous cheers by a massive crowd assembled at Grant Park.
After the electrifying performance, Becky G didn’t miss an opportunity to exchange some loving parting words with J-Hope. “I’m so proud of you, I’m so thankful for our friendship and for this opportunity,” she gushed.
The duo’s performance on Sunday night was a special affair as they had not been able to perform the track together since its 2019 release. “Chicken Noodle Soup” is J-Hope’s best-selling single in the U.S.
Earlier this week, fans of both singers had taken to social media to speculate whether a “Chicken Noodle Soup” performance was finally happening. Becky G was able to maintain the surprise by not posting on social media for days leading up to the performance, making fans try to figure out her whereabouts. The singer went a step further to keep fans off her trails by uploading a clip of a living room TV playing J-Hope’s set from the official Lollapalooza livestream to her Instagram story.
“[This is] the moment where Becky had us believing she was at home,” wrote one Twitter user.
“Becky G and J Hope singing live together,” wrote an enthusiastic fan. “Dreams do come true. J-Hope on her next single! His reggaetonero era.”
Three years later, Becky G and J-Hope made an unforgettable milestone performance to the delight of fans everywhere. Hopefully, their next reunion or collaboration won’t take as long.
