“Tu quieres saber lo que yo les hago a las viejas?” the vocalist playfully asks before singing the catchy chorus: “A las viejas pongo a cuchichear / A las viejas pongo a cachondear / A las viejas pongo a disfrutar / A las viejas pongo a saborear.” For those familiar with the Tijuana-originated band, we instantly recognize the use of repeated phrases that the Tucanes are known for to hype up their fans.
It goes without saying that “Yo Las Pongo” proves that since its start in 1987, Los Tucanes de Tijuana continue to innovate with their genre-bending collaborations. On the other hand, it is no surprise that Deorro participated in this forward-thinking track. The DJ is known to inject his Mexican culture whenever possible during his live sets.
