BTS are selling their used clothing. Specifically, the custom Louis Vuitton looks which they wore to perform “Dynamite” at this year’s Grammys. It means legions of the K-pop sensation’s fans can peel themselves off Wattpad and slip into their IRL fantasies, breathing in sweat stains, dead skin cells, and perhaps, if they’re lucky, a pube. Anyone know how to clone a boyband? Each of Jungkook, J-Hope, V, RM, Jin, Suga, Jimin’s items are expected to raise between $30,000 and $50,000, respectively, but all pieces will, unfortunately, be dry cleaned prior to sale. The looks, which comprise bespoke suits in white, black, yellow, and tobacco orange, are being flogged at the MusiCares Charity Relief Auction, which provides musicians with a range of health and human services. Also on offer is a gold, rhinestone gown from Dolly Parton, a snowflake costume worn by Katy Perry, and other pieces from the wardrobes of Harry Styles, Lady Gaga, and Machine Gun “I am weed” Kelly. The auction takes place on January 30 next year.
In other fashion news this week, Naomi Campbell made her McQueen runway return, while Larry David moaned about fashion shows being too loud. Elsewhere, Olivier Rousteing opened up about his frightening hospitalisation last year and fast fashion’s textile workers protested for basic rights.
