Fruit Prints (for the Wardrobe and Home) Are Summer’s Sweetest Trend
We’re in the middle of Memorial Day weekend, and with that comes the beginning of summer and free rein to wear white. It also brings the promise of juicy, summer fruit from a local farmstand or farmer’s market: peaches and cherries in June, strawberries and plums in July, blackberries and blueberries in August. So it may just be my anticipation of this sweet season, but of late it appears that there is fruit patterning every item from silky dresses to birthday candles. I’ve discovered cherries printed on a ruffled swimsuit, grapes embroidered on crisp linen napkins, and oranges woven into raffia home goods. So with this juicy trend, what better way to celebrate summer than with a reminder of the fruits of the season?
