As Vogue editors, we often wax poetic on the latest runway must-haves and home decor treasures, but not every item we gush about on this website ultimately ends up in our closets and homes. Our discoveries are nice to behold—they’re lovely to look at and inspire fun conversation—however, of all these cool things to buy, what did we actually end up buying? Each month we’ll highlight those special finds our editors welcomed into their lives—all the things that gave us buyer’s rejoice.
In April, Vogue editors were thinking about much more than just closet refreshes. Sure the typical spring essentials made it into our shopping carts (yes, we can’t resist a delectable nap dress either), but we were also readying our homes for joyous spring and summer vibes.

It’s been a lifelong quest of mine to improve my tennis skills, but with each passing year, the only thing that gets better is my tennis wardrobe. I just picked up this tennis dress from Adidas that looks wonderfully retro. It comes in navy and blush pink, but I opted for an antique white color with green trim which I’m incredibly happy with. I’ll add that, should you buy this dress for actual tennis-playing, it most certainly requires a pair of shorts beneath.

I’ve never really been a huge denim fan, even before quarantine life. But after spending just over a year in house dresses, I’m excited to switch up my look. I found the perfect pair of starter jeans, and I’ve worn them on repeat since purchasing them. My friend, who is also a fashion editor, freaked out when she saw me wearing them during a socially distanced lunch. Of course, she was also surprised to find out that they were from Zara. They look really expensive, thanks to the structured, slim silhouette and flared finish that isn’t as constricting as skinny jeans.

So I’ve only owned one Hill House Home Nap dress since the pandemic started— a sleeveless botanical printed version called “The Ellie.” Despite the superstardom the brand experienced over the last year, I resisted buying too many dresses in bulk to keep my wardrobe somewhat at bay. However, I finally took the plunge to add the “The Nesli,” a short-sleeved version of the Nap dress in black to my closet. I wore it last weekend and can’t remember when I’ve received so many compliments (although keep in mind, I’ve been cooped up at home all year too!), but I think I might have to break my rule again soon and add a few more to my shopping cart. It’s the perfect LBD for summer nights ahead, with its puff-sleeves, elastic smocked bust and tiered hem, it feels incredibly comfortable for all-day wear, but still dressy enough for a dinner date. I’m moving into a new apartment this week and am basically starting from scratch with home decor.
