Latin Music Is Spiking In Popularity Among Listeners
Believe it or not, the COVID pandemic could not shoot down the growing popularity of Latin music.
Only in the United States, the genre saw a 20 percent rise back in 2020.
“Latin music continues to ‘punch above its weight’ – posting its fifth straight year of growth amidst the challenges and disruptions of the COVID economy,” according to the annual report of RIAA (Recording Industry Association of America).
It is important to note that Bad Bunny was the artist with the highest endorsement among the rest. Moreover, besides the A-list’s ferocious talent, his hit “Yo Perreo Sola” helped the artist gain this title.
Artists like Bad Bunny, Daddy Yankee, Karol G, Ivy Queen, and Tego Caulderón are changing the face of the Latin music, as they are taking their culture worldwide.
