It has been reported by TMZ that rap star Nicki Minaj’s father, Robert Maraj, was killed in an hit-and-run in New York’s Nassau County. The tragic event happened this past Friday (Feb. 12th) evening, with details about the tragic event being light. TMZ states that an eye witness wasn’t able to give a clear description of the car that hit her father, while he was crossing an intersection, and sped off. Mr. Maraj was 64 years old.

While the details are being investigated by authorities, no word on social media has been made by Nicki Minaj in regards to her father’s passing.

Back in early 2020, Minaj posted a rare clip of her family, with what website Blacgloss posted as Minaj’s caption: “My Dad & lil sister Ming.” Our thoughts and prayers are with her and her family at this time.
