Exactly what we need right now

Another week, another new Palace collab. This time around, the streetwear label is teaming up with luxury label Moschino for a collection full of “Peace, love, and hugs”, according to Moschino’s creative director Jeremy Scott.

The offering – which draws inspo from Jeremy Scott’s irreverent designs (ie. Lizzo dressed as a chocolate bar) and the Italian brand’s vast archive – is made up of a combination of RTW, accessories, and skate hardware.

The line-up includes statement Moschino-fied skateboards, cloud print puffers, shearling jackets emblazoned with ‘Hug me’ messages, and a leather milk carton bag, as well as understated styles including graphic tees and hoodies, monogrammed denim, and bucket hats. Basically, it’s a high-fashion skateboarder’s starter kit.

Enlisting legendary fashion photographer David Sims to shoot the drop’s accompanying campaign, Palace explain that “Moschino is one of our favourite brands of all time: chic, sexy, innovative, and properly funny. Working with them has been a full-blown dream scenario for us and we are still buzzing on it.”

Elsewhere, the skate brand recently dropped a collection of Whitney Houston inspired pieces for charity, collabed with 90s icons the Happy Mondays, and teamed up with cycling brand Rapha for a psychedelia-inspired collection. Guess we’re taking up skating as our newest lockdown time-killer.

The Palace x Moschino collection is available online at Palace and Moschino on November 20, and in Japan and China on November 21.
